Artista Xanthie:
4 New Performances with Her Puppets, Inspired by the Elements of Nature
Artista Xanthie, known for her unique performances combining the art of theater with the magic of her puppets, presents in the new season 4 explosive shows. Each one of them represents one of the elements of nature, giving life to myths, fairy tales, and philosophical quests.
1. ANTIGONE - AIR: The myth of Antigone, as depicted in Sophocles` text, is interpreted with puppets, the performance by Artist Xanthie, a soprano, and a pianist. The show explores the sense of air, the power of revolution, and the world of values.
2. ALADDIN - WATER: A classic fairy tale with puppets for all ages, highlighting the magic and adventures associated with the element of water.
3. ICARUS - FIRE: A performance (always spoken through the unique dolls), interpreting the myth of Daedalus and Icarus, exploring the concept of freedom, light, and the New Self. Excerpts from the Bible, Calderon, and Hesiod are included.
4. MORT&TOT-EARTH: A philosophical quest into the depths of the earth, at the bar of Hades, revealing our inner quests for life and death. A puppet, a performer. Who is Mort, who is Tot? The
earth, us within it, victorious, or perhaps not…
Artista Xanthie`s performances will tour throughout Greece as every year, but this year, presentations are also planned in Europe. The tour begins at the end of August 2024.
